After busy December, many Islanders decide to stay home and quiet, for a couple winter weeks.
But by the start of February, that shut-in feeling begins to creep in. It’s a perfect time to open the hatches and get out for a high-spirited night.
Join comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines for “The Shack Wacky Review,” a show celebrating Islanders and the special qualities that help us hang in here, all four seasons.
“The Shack Wacky Review” plays Saturday, February 2 at the PEI Brewing Company, 96 Kensington Road in Charlottetown.
TICKETS
Tickets are available now online at PEIbrewingcompany.com, in person at PEI Brewing Company, or by calling 902-629-BREW (2739).
The show begins at 8 PM. Doors open at 7 PM.
“As Islanders, we all go a bit stir-crazy by the beginning of February,” says Ledwell.
“The idea behind this show is simple. Let’s get friends out around tables, a good drink in hand, and host a barn-board-rattling night of entertainment.”
Patrick and Mark have established a PEI tradition with “The Island Summer Review,” which has played five sold-out seasons at Harmony House in Hunter River. They’re already ramping up for summer 2018.
Their only full Charlottetown show this winter, “The Shacky Wacky Review” will plow full-steam ahead through a wintery Island landscape for jokes, songs, and combinations of the two.
“We’re already writing for the new summer season. I’m excited to try new pieces, and revisit a few favorites, in this lively venue,” adds Haines.
