On Thursday, May 4, at Harmony House in Hunter River, Patrick Ledwell will be partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association PEI for “Working on It,” a night of comedy about life, your work, and mental wellness.
During the first half of the night, Patrick Ledwell’s presentation will travel through some humourous and practical approaches to staying well in your work. For the second half, Ledwell will be joined by his performing partner, Mark Haines, and they will be debuting new material, toward this year’s edition of The Island Summer Review.
The evening starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are $15 (plus tax and fees). Please reserve tickets in advance via Harmony House’s new TicketPro box outlet, by calling 1-866-350-9686 or booking on-line at http://www.harmonyhousetheatre.com
The evening is part of CMHA’s National Mental Health Week taking place May 1-7. Both the performance and Harmony House venue are fully donated as a fundraiser in support of CMHA PEI. All proceeds from the night will go directly toward mental health programs and services for Islanders.
The goal of the presentation is to have some shared laughter, explore a couple of perspectives on work and health, and talk about helpful practices. “The performance will be upbeat and humourous,” says Ledwell. “Laughter is good at opening windows, and can be a positive force to create conversation in the room.”
Harmony House’s downstairs licensed restaurant and pub will be open in advance, with a full chef-prepared menu by Chef Jarrod Smith. To reserve a table for dinner, call 902-964-2255.
